Job summary

Drexel University is seeking an Assistant Director for Undergraduate Admissions to manage recruitment, travel, and counseling for prospective students locally and nationally. The role involves coordinating campus visits, information sessions, and partnerships with counselors to drive applications through enrollment.

The position requires extensive travel (up to 8 weeks in Fall and 3–6 weeks in Spring), plus evening and weekend hours. This is a hybrid role with in-person work three days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of higher education experience
• Superior customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to travel domestically up to 8 weeks in Fall and 3–6 weeks in Spring
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead projects
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Valid Driver's License and comfortable driving extensively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing the student recruitment plan for specific admissions programs or projects.
• Coordinate external and internal recruiting efforts for a specific College/School; plan, coordinate and supervise programs or projects.
• Correspond with prospective students, applicants, families, and others seeking information on admission standards and programs.
• Travel for receptions, forums and corporate presentations to enhance recruitment efforts.
• Analyze qualifications of prospective first year and transfer students using admissions criteria.
• Read student applications for admission to the university.
• Coordinate recruitment travel and execute the university recruitment plan.
• Give presentations to large groups of students, families, and/or high school counselors.
• Support customer service needs via telephone and student inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned.
