Job summary

The University of New Haven in West Haven, CT seeks an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions to lead recruitment and enrollment efforts. You will manage a travel territory, plan schedules, and attend college fairs and high school visits in person and virtually, mentoring prospective students through the application process.

Responsibilities include admissions evaluation, day-to-day communication with applicants, on- and off-campus information sessions, and coordinating travel around

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel for recruitment and events; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruitment, and enrollment of prospective students from a geographic territory
• Conduct on-campus, off-campus and virtual information sessions and participate in special recruitment events
• Represent the University at college fairs, college nights and virtual programs
• Provide admission counseling and day-to-day communication with students via in-person, phone, Zoom, text or email
• Coordinate recruitment travel planning and execute fall and spring recruitment travel
• Evaluate candidates for admissions using university guidelines
• Counsel prospective students, parents and guidance professionals through the application process
• Perform other duties to meet enrollment goals
