Job summary

University of New Haven is seeking an Assistant Director of Events to plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact recruitment events for undergraduate and graduate admissions. You will work with the Associate Director and campus partners to create engaging experiences that support enrollment goals.

You will lead the Charger Ambassador program, manage visits and communications, coordinate CRM workflows in Slate, and travel regionally to college fairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in admissions, event planning, higher education, or related field.
• Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Slate CRM preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with events team and campus stakeholders to meet recruitment and enrollment objectives.
• Supervise and recruit/train the Charger Ambassador program and student ambassadors.
• Plan and implement on-campus, virtual, and off-campus recruitment events (Open Houses, Information Sessions, etc.).
• Lead on-campus, off-campus, and virtual information sessions for prospective students and families.
• Coordinate event communications and CRM workflows (Slate); manage invitations and follow-ups.
• Coordinate event setup and logistics with faculty and campus departments.
• Travel locally and regionally to college fairs and school visits as needed.
• Provide general office support to ensure smooth daily operations.
