Job description

  • Manage a travel territory and create a travel schedule
  • Attend college fairs and high school visits in person and virtually, representing the university
  • Review applications and conduct follow-up efforts
  • Work on-campus recruitment events and daily information sessions
  • Assist in identifying, recruiting, and enrolling prospective students from a geographic territory
  • Conduct on-campus, off-campus, and virtual information sessions
  • Represent the University of New Haven at college fairs, college nights, and virtual programs
  • Provide admission counseling and manage day-to-day communication with students via in-person meetings, telephone, Zoom, text, and email
  • Plan and execute fall and spring recruitment travel
  • Coordinate time-sensitive application workflow and process applications
  • Evaluate candidates for admission using university guidelines to determine admissibility
  • Ensure accepted students receive appropriate communication
  • Counsel prospective students, parents, and guidance professionals throughout the college application and selection process
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the University's mission and enrollment goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to represent the University of New Haven in a variety of situations
  • Ability to interact competently with a diverse population of prospective students, faculty and staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • High level of technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite products required
  • Ability to travel on behalf of the University and represent the school at recruitment events
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for the travel component of the position
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
