Job summary

The University of New Haven in West Haven, CT seeks an Admissions Support Representative to deliver exceptional service to prospective students and families. You will coordinate campus visits, support recruitment efforts, and assist with events while maintaining open communication with campus partners.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year in admissions or customer service, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; and a minimum of 1 year of admission experience preferred.
• Proven customer service skills and minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Ability to represent the University of New Haven to a diverse population of prospective students, families, and staff.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Slate CRM experience preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for travel components.
• Commitment to enrolling and retaining a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary front desk representative for visitors.
• Manage admissions phone line and direct inquiries.
• Communicate with prospective students via phone, email, text, and in person.
• Coordinate daily campus visit logistics and materials.
• Collaborate with student ambassadors and tour guides.
• Conduct on-campus information sessions.
• Maintain staff and visitor coverage schedules.
• Assist with application review during peak periods.
• Help plan and execute admissions events (Open Houses, Explore Days, etc.).
• Support continuous improvement of visitor experiences.
• Perform other duties to support enrollment goals.
