Job summary

University of Washington is seeking an Assistant Director of Ticket Operations to manage ticketing for 2-3 sports and support football tasks. You will train staff, ensure data integrity, and deliver top-notch customer service to Husky fans, donors, and the campus community.

The role reports to the Director of Ticket Operations and requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school graduation and 2 years in college athletics or pro sports ticket operations.
  • Experience with fast-paced environments and multitasking.
  • Computer proficiency, detail oriented, customer-service oriented.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team and with donors, faculty, students, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise ticket operations for assigned sports including season ticket renewals and on-sales; act as primary contact for staff and external constituencies.
  • Support football tasks on game days, assist with asset management for experiences.
  • Respond to phone lines, in-person customers, and emails to maintain positive relations.
  • Train part-time staff on ticket office processes and participate in hiring as needed.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and analyze ticketing data integrity.
  • Attend rules education and comply with university, NCAA, conference, and state regulations.
  • Support full-time staff with daily procedures, monitor ticket website pages, and handle miscellaneous tasks.

The Washington Athletics Ticket Office has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Director of Ticket Operations to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Ticket Operations, the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations (payroll title: Program Coordinator (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ticketing for 2-3 assigned sports. This role also provides key support on ancillary Football tasks, ensuring all staff (including potential interns and student workers) are well-trained and versed in ticket office procedures and policies, and providing a top-class customer service experience to the Husky fanbase and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • 30%: Supervise ticket operations for assigned sports including season ticket renewals/on-sales, overseeing box office on event days and serving as primary point of contact for assigned sport for ticket office staff, ICA and external constituencies.
  • 20%: Additional Football responsibilities including game-day preparations, acting as support manager at homes games and asset management for ancillary saleable options or experiences.
  • 15%: Assist in answering ticket office phone lines, serving in-person customers, and answering general emails as needed to maintain and promote positive relations with customers and the fanbase.
  • 10%: Work with Director and other colleagues to regularly train part-time staff in ticket office processes, policies, and customer service techniques and assist with hiring process for new staff as needed.
  • 5%: Ensure proper database entry by all staff and analyze to maintain ticketing data integrity.
  • 5%: Attend required rules education programs offered and comply with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body.
  • 15%: Support full-time office staff with fulfilling ticket office daily procedures, monitoring ticket website pages and other miscellaneous needs.
Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of related experience working in a college athletics or professional sports ticket operations role.
Additional Requirements
  • Ticket Accounting Operations as described at an organization with annual gross revenue of over $5 million.
  • Experience with database management in a ticket system; Paciolan preferred.
  • Experience working in a box office setting.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multitask.
  • Computer proficient, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about working within a sport-related environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Display a genuine desire to help people and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to promote and maintain positive relations with donors, faculty, students, and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or sports management.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platform, and Microsoft Offices products.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours; games and special events that include weekends and evenings.
