Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced Manager, Surgical Services to oversee daily operations across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care. You will lead clinical and non-clinical staff, drive quality and safety initiatives, and align surgical services with hospital goals.

Responsibilities include performance management, policy development, financial oversight, and collaboration with physicians and support services to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required.
• Four (4) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-4 years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversees the delivery of patient care throughout the surgical continuum, including preoperative, operative, and postoperative phases.
• Supervises, supports, and evaluates the performance of staff in surgical services, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Applies evidence-based practices and performance improvement methodologies to enhance outcomes and safety.
• Analyzes data related to patient satisfaction, quality metrics, staffing, and operations to drive improvement.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and practice standards for surgical services per guidelines.
• Collaborates with physicians and leaders to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
• Engages staff in identifying improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Participates in strategic planning, program development, and capital/resource planning for the surgical department.
