Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks an Assistant Director to lead student learning support and retention initiatives at CCBC.

You will supervise tutoring, supplemental instruction, and coaching programs while coordinating with faculty and campus partners to align services with student needs and institutional goals. Reporting to the Director of Student Retention and Transition Services, you will guide data-driven program development, assess outcomes, and ensure effective resource use

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• At least five years of professional experience in supporting student learning and success initiatives.
• Minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience with program development, assessment, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and allocation of resources to staff the department and achieve productivity goals.
• Collaborate with the director to develop new programs and strategies aligned with the college mission.
• Document policies, assess data, and strengthen operational practices to meet student needs.
• Supervise and evaluate staff; prepare and analyze reports as requested.
• Serve as liaison with college departments, vendors, government agencies, and external organizations.
• Manage the operating budget for the division; be flexible for some evening/weekend hours.
