Job summary

Georgia State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement within the Office of Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving to oversee portfolio-level outreach, strengthen alumni affinity, and drive strategic engagement initiatives across university partners.

The role partners closely with campus and external stakeholders, including corporate partners, to expand engagement opportunities, sponsorships, and program development while ensuring inclusive, high-quality alumni experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of supervisory/management experience.
Preferred: two years in higher education environments.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned alumni engagement portfolios to strengthen alumni connection and affinity.
Develop portfolio-level engagement plans aligned with departmental priorities.
Identify opportunities to expand participation and move alumni to deeper engagement.
Collaborate with campus partners, alumni groups, and external organizations to achieve engagement goals.
Coordinate with Events Manager to properly implement engagement initiatives and experiences.
Monitor engagement outcomes and provide portfolio performance insights.
