Job summary

The Senior Director of Alumni Relations at The University of Georgia leads key alumni engagement programs and the Alumni Chapters initiative. This senior role drives strategic partnerships, volunteer leadership, and campus collaboration to grow philanthropic support.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the position oversees events, tours, and engagement strategies across multiple schools and colleges, with a focus on building durable external relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 10 years of professional experience to include 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in development, advancement, engagement, alumni relations, sales, service, or other philanthropic setting preferred.
• Strong leadership, management, and budgeting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic plan for Chapters program and lead a team of staff.
• Manage Alumni Board engagements and campus partner collaboration.
• Plan and execute engagement events and programs, including tours and regional partnerships.
• Supervise Engagement Coordinator and oversee event coordination.
• Collaborate across campus to advance alumni engagement and philanthropic support.
