Job summary

The SC Respite Coalition is seeking an Assistant Director to support family caregivers and grow statewide respite resources. The role reports to the Executive Director, oversees grants and contracts, and helps develop programs, manage budgets, and report outcomes.

This full-time onsite position is based in Columbia, SC with opportunities to engage community, state, and national partners. Responsibilities include leading initiatives, coordinating committees, organizing events, and providing staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, business administration, psychology, or related field.
• 2 years of direct non-profit program management, development and/or fundraising may be substituted for education requirements.
• Experience with grants procurement and management.
• Ability to develop and supervise programs, meet deadlines and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Director with daily administrative duties and operations.
• Collaborate with staff to improve, streamline and create processes/tools to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Assist with statewide planning and work with state and regional Advisory Committees.
• Assist in securing grants and contracts to support the mission of the SC Respite Coalition.
• Perform tasks to ensure grant/contract activities are completed in specified timeframes with required documentation.
• Assist with outreach, awareness, education, meetings, and events.
• Conduct occasional workshops and conference presentations.
• Work with community partners to promote and develop respite opportunities across the state.
• Assist with identifying and creating fundraising efforts and establishing a fundraising strategy.
• Provide occasional training and information on respite resources for family caregivers.
