Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University is seeking an Assistant Director for Residential Experience Recruitment and Training. The role leads staff development, coordinates recruitment, onboarding, and training for residential staff, and serves as a conduct officer within Housing & Residence Life.

The position emphasizes strategic leadership, supervision of professional staff, and collaboration to improve student learning, safety, and community standards across a large on‑campus housing program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree completed or in progress in higher education administration, college student personnel, counseling, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs, housing and residence life, student conduct, or a closely related setting.
• Experience supervising, coaching, or leading professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for department-wide student staff talent practices including recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention.
• Supervise assigned Residence Hall Directors and/or Graduate Assistants.
• Hear and adjudicate student conduct cases and contribute to educational accountability within Housing & Residence Life.
