Job summary

The College of Saint Benedict invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit eligible position of Assistant Director of Residential Life. The Assistant Director oversees housing operations, room assignments, and staff collaboration to support a six-hall, 1300-woman residential community and related facilities.

Reporting to the Director, you will contribute to strategic planning and policy development. Join a dedicated team focused on safety, community, and student development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years in housing operations or facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain StarRez housing system for room assignments across stakeholders.
• Oversee room assignment, selection, move-in/move-out, and key/card access.
• Manage housing billing processes with internal stakeholders.
• Supervise student employees staffing the central office and front desk.
• Participate in Residential Life leadership, budgeting, policy development, and program growth.
• Collaborate with Facilities to address maintenance in residential areas.
• Coordinate communications across multiple media formats with Director and team.
• Analyze enrollment patterns to assess housing needs and future eligibility.
• Assist in preparing department budget, occupancy and planning reports.
• Serve as a resource for students, families, faculty, and staff on housing and facilities.
• Represent the institution in housing matters at admissions, academic affairs, alumnae, and committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
