University Health in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced professional to manage daily laboratory operations under the Director of Pathology Services. You will work with management to ensure compliance with standards and metrics and collaborate with medical staff to support optimal patient outcomes.

ASCP registration is required; a Master’s degree is strongly recommended with at least five years of related healthcare experience.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required.
• ASCP registration or equivalent required.
• Master’s degree in health care administration or related field strongly recommended with at least five years of related health care experience.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Director of Pathology Services, responsible for the day to day general operation of the laboratory working with the management staff to ensure adherence to department standards, metrics and regulatory compliance Collaborates with medical staff to facilitate optimal patient outcomes and overall operational efficiency within the scope of service.Promotes the University Health System Customer Relation’s policy.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

B.S. in science or B.A. in hospital/business administration is required. Registry by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or equivalent required.Master’s degree in health care administration, business administration or other related field from an accredited college or university is strongly recommended with a minimum of five years of related, progressively responsible health care experience is required.
