Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree required or equivalent experience.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS III - DCMC - Austin, TX

Schedule: Full time; primarily Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with occasional weekends. More details are available upon interviewing.

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, and day-to-day management of TouchPoint Patient Observation Services across three hospital campuses. This role is based at Dell Children's Medical Center and provides direct oversight of Patient Observation Associates, Leads, Supervisors, staffing operations, regulatory compliance, customer service initiatives, and program performance at multiple hospitals. The Assistant Director serves as the primary operational leader for assigned accounts and acts as a liaison between hospital leadership, nursing partners, TouchPoint leadership, and frontline associates to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered observation services that meet hospital and organizational expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility
• Directs and conducts safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs; while maintaining excellent relationships with client and the customer
• Assists to ensure client, customer satisfaction and efficient cost effective management
• Promotes the professional growth and development of all associates
• Coordinates the tasks of the subordinate Supervisory and Management team via regular communication
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree required; or equivalent and relevant experience
• 3-5 years of management experience in a hospital, healthcare, hospitality, or related enviroment
• Strong work ethic, intense drive and initiative for quality and customer service
• Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through (with associates and clients) skills required
• Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests and team members
• Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, preferred
