Description

Assistant Director, Revenue Cycle Management – Network Charge Entry / Billing
Houston, TX or Franklin, TN | Full-time

About Inception
Inception Fertility was founded by patients, for patients, to elevate the experience at every step of the family-building journey. At Inception Fertility, we believe that delivering exceptional patient care begins with empowering and supporting our employees. We invest in our employees through training, technology, and development opportunities, ensuring that every team member is equipped to provide the best care possible to our patients and families.

The Role
As Assistant Director of RCM – Network Billing, you’ll lead the charge capture, coding, and billing teams across Inception’s multi‑state clinic network, making sure every service is coded accurately, billed on time, and paid correctly. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Cycle, you’ll also help guide AR recovery, denials prevention, and network‑wide process standardization, and you’ll serve as acting leader when the Director is out.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the charge entry, coding, and billing teams across our clinics and central RCM department, keeping work organized and deadlines met.
  • Make sure every encounter is coded and charged accurately and compliantly before claims go out, including insurance claims, self‑pay fertility packages, telehealth visits, and surgical procedures.
  • Build and maintain daily charge reconciliation and month‑end close routines at every clinic so no service goes unbilled.
  • Investigate coding‑related denials, find the root cause, and fix the process so they don’t come back.
  • Run quarterly coding and charge entry audits, and keep workflows current as payer rules and regulations change.
  • Analyze charge trends across regions to spot gaps, share what works, and standardize best practices across the network.
  • Partner with clinic leaders, physicians, Finance, IT, and our EMR and practice management vendors to improve systems and resolve complex billing issues, including patient concerns about charges.
  • Support AR recovery, KPI tracking, and leadership reporting, and serve as a super user for our billing platforms.

What You’ll Bring

Required skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified coder credential, such as an AAPC certification
  • 5+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic or physician practice setting
  • 5+ years leading large, remote, multi‑site teams
  • Deep knowledge of CPT and HCPCS code sets, including modifiers, bundling and unbundling, diagnosis assignment, E/M codes, lab codes, and ASC HCPCS codes
  • Familiarity with claim edits, clearinghouses, and the billing and EMR platforms used in clinic and physician practice settings
  • Clear, patient, professional communication with physicians, clinic leaders, vendors, payers, and patients
  • Ability to travel routinely to network clinics, the corporate office, and required meetings and conferences

Preferred skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field (an equivalent mix of education and healthcare billing and receivables experience works too)
  • Professional / clinic billing and ASC experience
  • Experience with AR management, cash posting, and denial management, ideally in a centralized revenue cycle for a multi‑site clinic organization
  • Experience with eIVF and with billing system implementations or conversions
  • Fertility practice experience, including fertility‑related CPT codes, milestone charge capture, and self‑pay package pricing
