Laredo College is seeking an Assistant Director of Payroll to oversee daily payroll operations, ensure accuracy, and supervise staff. The role involves collaborating with HR, ensuring tax filings, and driving process improvements across the payroll system.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years in accounting with leadership experience, and strong analytical and writing skills. CPP is preferred, with flexible duties and occasional after-hours work.
The Assistant Director of Payroll is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role assists the Director of Payroll in managing payroll staff, implementing payroll policies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The Assistant Director will also collaborate with various departments to address payroll issues and continuously improve payroll systems and procedures.
All hires are subject to a 90 day introductory review period.
