Job summary

Evergreen State College invites applications for the Assistant Director, Academic and Career Advising for PaCE on the Olympia campus. This role leads academic and career advising for adult learners, online and on-site students, from onboarding through graduation.

Responsibilities include coordinating admissions, financial aid access, curriculum planning, and career development; collaborating with PaCE recruitment; and guiding faculty and staff to support student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and three years of experience in higher education student services.
• Experience advising online, professional, continuing, degree‑completion, or workforce programs.
• Ability to analyze data to support retention and program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and career advising to PaCE students and alumni across delivery modes.
• Collaborate with PaCE recruitment to support prospective students and outreach events.
• Develop advising resources and programs to support adult learners, part‑time and online students.
• Monitor student persistence and graduation goals and assist in retention efforts.
• Coordinate admissions, financial aid access, and degree planning for PaCE learners.
• Represent PaCE in campus planning and cross‑divisional leadership initiatives.
