Rivetus Rehabilitation is seeking an Assistant Director of Outpatient Therapy to lead clinical and operational performance at their Bloomfield Hills location. You will guide therapy teams, ensure high-quality patient-centered care, and advance program growth across outpatient services.

The role requires a PT licensure, 2+ years of clinical experience, and demonstrated leadership. Travel to partner facilities and EMR proficiency are expected; mentorship and collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensure for Physical Therapy (PT) in state of practice.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in routine leadership meetings to stay informed on operational, clinical, and compliance matters.
• Attends weekly IDT/Medicare meetings to guide therapy plans.
• Educates SNF staff on DC therapy plans and outpatient appropriateness.
• Oversees agency goals, quality initiatives, and strategic objectives.
• Enters patient schedules into the EMR and coordinates with site schedulers.
• Screens residents for discharge suitability and delivers PT/PTA services per licensure.
• Supervises licensed therapist assistants and support staff to regulatory standards.
• Supports Medicare/Medicaid/commercial payer regulatory compliance.

This role helps ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting team development, operational efficiency, and program growth. The Assistant Director serves as a key leadership resource for therapists and staff at their home location. The position combines clinical expertise with leadership support to help advance Rivetus’ commitment to excellence in rehabilitation services.Essential Responsibilities1. Operational & Leadership SupportParticipates in routine leadership meetings with the Agency Administrator to remain informed of operational, clinical, and compliance matters.Attends weekly IDT/Medicare Meetings to facilitate correct DC therapy plan.Assists site-DOT with and helps educate SNF staff on proper DC plan for therapy and determining outpatient appropriateness.Assists with implementation and oversight of agency goals, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic objectives.Inputs patient schedules into EMR system and ensures frequencies are maintained. Works with site scheduler to ensure all patients are added to schedule.2. Clinical OversightProvides screening of residents to determine appropriateness for therapy at discharge from skilled nursing facility.Provides patient evaluation and treatment services within the scope of licensure and discipline (PTA), in accordance with state and federal regulations.Ensures delivery of high-quality, patient-centered outpatient rehabilitation services.Supervises licensed therapist assistants and support staff in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.3. Regulatory & Compliance OversightSupports compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.4. Team Development and MentorshipSupports mentorship and professional development of outpatient therapists, including assisting with onboarding and training of new clinicians.Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence, and provide coaching and feedback to therapists to support clinical growth where appropriate.5.
