Job summary

Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing Staff Educator/Unit Manager to lead staff development and clinical operations. You will work with the Director of Nursing to design impactful education programs, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high-quality resident care.

The role requires an active Wisconsin RN license and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care, with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care.
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control standards and nursing best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, addressing knowledge gaps and skills deficits.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training sessions, workshops, and in-service programs to improve nursing practice and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Conduct needs assessments, evaluates program effectiveness, and recommends updates or modifications to ensure program relevance and impact.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting active participation, open communication, and constructive feedback.
  • Assist the DON in managing day-to-day nursing department operations.
  • Supervise nursing staff and provide clinical guidance and support.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in clinical leadership on-call rotation.
