Care Initiatives is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to join our compassionate team in Iowa. The role supports the Director of Nursing, oversees the nursing department, and helps ensure high-quality resident care in a skilled nursing setting.

The position offers a 2pm to 10pm shift, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative environment focused on empathy, compliance, and continuous improvement across our 40+ communities.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery and propose improvements.
• Enforce policies and guide the team to promote growth and high-quality care.
• Coach and support RNs to foster teamwork and excellence in care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve department efficiency.
• Communicate with residents and families about care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols; participate in on-call rotation.
