Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to join The Village at East Farms in Waterbury, CT. This role leads the Resident Care Department under the Resident Care Director, providing on-floor nursing support and supervision.

The position requires active RN licensure, a minimum of 1 year in Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice, and 2 years RN care experience. On-call availability and a willingness to mentor staff are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state.
• Minimum 1 year of Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice RN experience.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in a care setting.
• Gerontology certification a plus.
• Dementia care knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor. As a Nursing Supervisor you will manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department, under the leadership of the Resident Care Director withinour senior living community. Responsibility includes direct oversight, coaching, and direct supervision of all resident care service providers in the community . Provide on-floor nursingsupport to our residents and interact with family members. Incumbent will also conduct external and internal assessments and be available to take on call as needed.

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday with minimal On-Call requirements

Responsibilities

• Communicating with families and friends of residents
• Assuring compliance with all resident care related regulations (e.g., medication management)
• Documenting and providing accurate record-keeping, as appropriate
• Demonstrating personal/resident safety methods and procedures

Requirement

• Being a Registered Nurse, per state regulations; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is a plus
• Required is a minimum of 1 year Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice experience as a RN and 2 years' experience in a care setting as a RN
• Cer tified in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association a plus
• Knowledge of Dementia care a plus
• A bility to lift 50 pounds individually
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• A bility to be on call as identified by the community
