Mountain Top Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead the Nursing Department and ensure high-quality resident care in a skilled facility environment. The role emphasizes policy development, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision to maintain excellence in patient outcomes.

The ADON will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, participate in audits, and support clinical governance across shifts, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compassionate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid PA state RN licensure.
• Current AHA BCLS training.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility with verifiable record.
• Valid state identification.
• Prior ADON experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, and directing day-to-day Nursing Department functions in line with regulations.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for Nursing operations.
• Ensure nursing staff follow job descriptions and stay compliant with laws.
• Participate in regulatory surveys and respond to findings.
• Review admissions, ensure accurate diagnoses, and initiate care plans.
• Create and manage nursing schedules and assignments.
• Maintain resident privacy and accurate RN report sheets.
• Complete required reports and audits on schedule.
• Notify DON of concerns and corrective actions.
