Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing operations, ensure high-quality resident care, and support regulatory compliance.

The ADON will oversee staffing, care planning, infection control, documentation, staff development, and collaboration with physicians and consultants to maintain excellent resident outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment and dependable leadership in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Strong leadership/management experience.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs and assist floor staffing when needed.
• Oversee resident care including care planning, MDS, performance improvement, and infection control programs.
• Manage nursing staff: hire, train, evaluate, assign and delegate based on census and budget.
• Ensure accurate documentation and up-to-date resident records.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and nursing teams.
• Ensure access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources.
• Uphold infection control measures through assessments and actions.
