Rockaway Care Center in Far Rockaway, NY seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in managing daily operations and ensuring high-quality patient care. You will assist with compliance, staff communications, and interviewing new hires while supporting on-call rotations and infection control efforts.

The role requires NY RN licensure, an associate degree, and at least 2 years in long-term care with some management experience.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• Minimum Associate Degree.
• Min 2 years exp in Long term care setting.
• Min 1 year management experience preferred.
• Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DNS with management responsibilities and maintain quality of care for the patients.

• Implement physicians’ orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations as needed.
• Oversee Nursing department in Director of Nursing absence.
