Transitions Healthcare North Huntingdon seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/Infection Preventionist to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

The ideal candidate is a PA-licensed registered nurse with leadership experience in geriatrics/long-term care, infection control experience, CPR, and preferred AED/first aid certifications; Point

• Current and good standing Pennsylvania Registered Nurse.
• Two years supervisory experience in geriatrics/long term care preferred.
• One year prior experience with infection control.
• CPR Required.
• AED and first aid certification preferred.
• Point Click Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Support infection prevention activities and coordinate with clinical leadership.
• Contribute to ongoing staff development and in-service planning to maintain high-quality resident care.

Transitions Healthcare North Huntingdon is looking to add a caring and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/Infection Preventionist who will treat our residents and their families as if they were their own. The primary purpose of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will be to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or Director of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current and good standing Pennsylvania Registered Nurse.

Two (2) years supervisory experience in geriatrics/long term care preferred.

One (1) year prior experience with infection control

CPR Required

AED and first aid certification preferred

Point Click Care experience preferred.
