Caprock Nursing & Rehabilitation seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations, support staffing, and ensure high-quality resident care. This role requires strong leadership, clinical judgment, and a partnership approach with physicians and staff.

You will oversee MDS and care planning, drive performance improvement, and uphold infection control programs while managing nursing duties within budget constraints. A nursing license and geriatric care background are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy and strong assessment/communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support floor staffing as needed.
• Oversee resident care, MDS, care planning, performance improvement, and infection control programs.
• Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs.
• Review and maintain up-to-date resident records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to design individualized care plans.
• Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other resources for staff.
• Conduct assessments and implement infection control measures.
