Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Longview, TX to lead nursing operations, support staffing, and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic facility. In this role you will oversee care planning, participate in MDS and infection control programs, maintain documentation, and collaborate with physicians to tailor individualized care plans.

A valid RN license and geriatric care experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed.
• Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs.
• Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs.
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records.
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans.
• Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources.
• Uphold Infection Control: Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures.
