Horizon House in Seattle seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead the Assisted Living team and deliver outstanding clinical support daily. The ADON partners with the DON to coach staff, ensure compliance, and maintain high resident safety and satisfaction.
In this on‑site role, you will supervise nursing staff, oversee documentation and training, and help manage budgets and resources while upholding our mission of wellbeing and purposeful living for older adults.
At Horizon House, residents know that exceptional care starts with exceptional people. If you’re looking for a career where you’re valued, not just as an employee but as part of the community, you’re in the right place.
Employees are part of the family here—and you’ll feel it from day one. Residents want to know about your life, your family, and your goals. Every December, they organize their own staff appreciation campaign—raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to thank the people who make Horizon House home. That level of respect and generosity is rare in senior living.
Many of our staff have worked here for years, some for decades. That consistency matters—to residents, to your coworkers, and to your own career growth. When you join Horizon House, you’re joining a team that stays.
We’re a nonprofit Life Plan Community in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood. There’s no corporate headquarters making decisions from another state. We’re local, independent, and focused on one thing: creating a community where older adults thrive on their own terms.
