Job summary

The Lodge at Rocky Mount, part of Sanstonehealth, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead our nursing team at our 115-bed facility. The ideal candidate will hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license and have at least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care, demonstrating compassion and the ability to motivate staff.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality nursing care, compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and effective communication with residents and staff. The position requires a commitment to infection control and support for our residents' well-being.

Qualifications

ADON/Infection Preventionist

The Lodge at Rocky Mount is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to become the Assistant Director of Nursing for our 115-bed facility. This position will provide clinical and organizational leadership and support to our Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care, be compassionate and caring, handle multiple priorities, work flexible hours and motivate staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports the achievement of deficiency-free status by monitoring compliance with requirements for Medicare/Medicaid recipients; reporting on compliance/non-compliance issues
• Ensures frequent communication with residents and their loved ones to keep them informed and involved in their care
• Ensures quality nursing care by observing/enforcing safe and appropriate nursing procedures, counseling nursing staff and implementing appropriate corrective action, giving on-going feedback about job performance, and providing input to the Director of Nursing for annual performance reviews of nursing team members
• Supports the fulfillment of The Lodge's continuing care philosophy and the maintenance of long-term care certification by adhering to professional standards, organization policies and procedures, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Comfortable working with an Electronic Medical Record system
• Ensures that organization expectations, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements, are met by reviewing changes in Medicare/Medicaid, and DHHS regulations, assessing training needs of the facility's staff; ensures compliance of nursing staff with new and current regulations by chart reviews, counseling, and rounding
• Updates standards of practice, regulation knowledge, QAPI, and infection control knowledge by keeping informed of current and emerging regulatory requirements and clinical approaches
• Supports resident and team members’ well-being by working with the infection control preventionist to implement appropriate antibiotic stewardship programming and infection control and prevention guidelines and surveillance
• Ensures continuity of care and discharge planning by coordinating the transmission of needed information between providers, nursing staff, medical records, and social services; attends discharge planning and care plan meetings as needed.
