The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, staff mentorship, and collaborative problem solving to maintain clinical excellence.

The ADON will oversee care planning, documentation accuracy, and infection control while partnering with physicians and the nursing team to optimize outcomes for residents in a dynamic care

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Strong leadership and management experience.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs and assist floor staffing as needed.
• Oversee resident care, including MDS, care planning, infection control programs.
• Manage nursing staff: hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate duties within census and budget.
• Ensure accurate documentation and up-to-date resident records.
• Develop individualized care plans with physicians and nursing teams.
• Ensure access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources.
• Uphold infection control measures and conduct assessments.

Your Impact as an Assistant Director of Nursing

In This Role, You Will

• Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed
• Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
• Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans
• Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Uphold Infection Control: Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures
