Job summary

Wheatridge Park Care Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily Nursing Services operations. Your leadership will help ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with laws and standards.

The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, and at least one year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• RN license required (valid and active state-issued)
• Nursing Degree from an accredited college or University
• 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care facility

Responsibilities

• Communicate new admissions to nursing staff, including arrival times, room assignments, and any specific care needs
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and support departments to coordinate and plan for patient care needs
• Remain knowledgeable of current best practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements for post-acute care facilities
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Deliver skilled nursing care and provide supervisory oversight, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, patient rights, safety, and sanitation standards
• Oversee development and maintenance of the facility’s infection control program, including monitoring communicable diseases among residents and staff

About the Role:

As our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you’ll support the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the daily operations of the Nursing Services department. Your leadership helps ensure the highest quality of patient care while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and community standards.

Requirements
