Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the daily functions of the Nursing Service Department, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. The role involves working alongside the Director of Nursing, the Administrator, and the Medical Director to maintain the highest quality of care for residents. The ADON also ensures adherence to health, sanitary, and infection control policies, following established standards set by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out verbal and written directions accurately.
  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, and facility leadership.
  • Knowledge of proper safety and sanitary techniques.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours based on the position's requirements.
  • Must not pose a health or safety threat to others.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role within a hospital, nursing facility, or related healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Shift & Wage

  • Full-Time Opportunities
  • Shifts: 8:30am-5:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Annual Salary: $89,440 - $91,520 (based on experience)
