Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Denver, Colorado seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, directing, and evaluating the nursing care for residents. You will help set the tone for quality resident-directed care and lead a dedicated team.

Experience as an ADON in skilled nursing preferred. Requires current Colorado RN license and BLS/CPR; salary range $90,000–$110,000 with benefits and opportunities for leadership growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the State of Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure current reference materials at nurses' stations.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures manual.
• Participate in interviewing residents for admission.
• Provide information on residents' nursing needs to the DON.
• Assist in preparing performance evaluations.
• Schedule daily rounds to assess resident care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Your Purpose

Your primary role is to assist the Director of Nursing to plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care and functions for the nursing department. Your leadership style sets the tone for the community ensuring the highest degree of quality resident-directed care is maintained at all times..

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Ensure that reference material(i.e. PDR'S, Federal and State Regulations, etc.)maintied at the nurses stations is current. Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing service department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.
• Ensure that the Nursing Service Procedures manual is current at all times and reflects the day-to-day nursing care procedures used by this facility.
• Participate in the interviewing and selection of residents for admission to the facility , including the PASARR screeing.
• Provide the Director with information relative to the nursing needs of the residents and to the nursing service department ability to meet those needs.
• Assist the Director in preparing performance evaluations as direted.
• Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met.
• Any other tasks assigned to you with or without notice by DON, management, or NHA.

Qualifications

Pay
