Job description

Join to apply for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role at Neville Center at Fresh Pond.

This is an interim opportunity to join the nursing leadership team with a fast-paced, sub-acute, and long-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care provider.

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for implementing and evaluating programs and practices related to clinical services, including staff development and infection control.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Serving as the senior clinical manager in the absence of the Director of Nursing and performing designated duties.
  2. Conducting rounds to monitor staff assignments, resident concerns, and making necessary adjustments.
  3. Having working knowledge of practice acts for each nursing discipline and assisting staff to operate within these standards.
  4. Influencing staff positively to perform at their highest skill and knowledge levels, maintaining professionalism with residents, staff, and the community.
  5. Serving as the Infection Control Coordinator, including data collection and standard compliance.
  6. Monitoring infection control data to identify trends and staff development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  1. Valid RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
  2. Basic computer skills; knowledge of Virtual Gateway and Point Click Care (PCC) are pluses.
  3. Infection Preventionist certification or eligibility.
  4. Minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience.
  5. At least 2 years of progressive management experience in long-term care.
