Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for the Lake Butler, FL facility. The ADON provides clinical and professional supervision for nursing staff and collaborates with the Director of Nursing and other leaders in a correctional health setting.

The role requires RN licensure, a bachelor’s or associate degree, CPR certification, and prior nursing supervision experience. Day shift, M-F, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree with RN license and two years of experience.
• Must hold valid RN license in the applicable state.
• CPR certification required; TB screening (PPD) documentation.
• Prior nursing supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional supervision for nursing and support staff.
• Work under the Director of Nursing and collaborate with mental health/medical leadership.
• Improve health care for incarcerated offenders in the correctional environment.

We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team at Reception and Medical Center (Main Unit) located in Lake Butler, FL.

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides clinical, educational and professional supervision for nursing and support staff. Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with mental health/medical leadership and other members of the multidisciplinary team in the correctional environment to improve health care of incarcerated offenders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with Registered Nurse (RN) license and two (2) years of experience required
• Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required
• Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred
• Experience working in a correctional environment preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
