John Scott House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our leadership team in Braintree, MA. This role focuses on resident care, staff mentorship, and ensuring high-quality, compliant clinical operations.

The candidate will supervise nursing staff, coordinate daily clinical activities, and participate in quality improvement and infection control initiatives with a compassionate, resident-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff on assigned shifts.
• Coordinate daily clinical operations and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal nursing regulations.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and nursing assignments.
• Support admissions, discharges, and care planning processes.
• Monitor nursing documentation and clinical outcomes.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to nursing staff.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally and compassionately.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection control initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the nursing team.
