Job summary

MJ Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to supervise and coordinate resident care under the Director of Nursing at our nursing home facility. The ADON will direct, evaluate, and improve resident care, develop individualized care plans, and lead daily rounds and staff meetings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care, initiate corrective action as necessary
• Assess resident care needs and assist in development of individualized care plans
• Conduct resident care conferences
• Report problems to the Administrator and the DON
• Conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Conduct staff meetings with all shifts
• Assume responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies
• Supervision and Scheduling
• Conduct interviews and hire nursing service employees
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators
• Consistently demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability
• Work cooperatively with facility administration, nursing personnel, ancillary personnel, all facility departments
