The Waters of Greencastle is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and directing the Nursing Department. This role emphasizes collaboration with other departments to promote holistic, rehabilitative care for Residents and to maintain high standards of service.

Responsibilities include establishing standards, monitoring resident care, ensuring staffing levels, and communicating changes to physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required.
• Minimum 2 years in skilled nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement objectives and standards for the Nursing Department in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and monitor Resident rounds and care provided.
• Ensure sufficient staffing levels through training and personnel processes.
• Communicate significant changes in Residents' status to physicians and families promptly.
• Establish rapport with staff, healthcare team, Residents and families.
• Implement standards of care, policies and procedures.
• Work on the floor when necessary.
• Conduct monthly internal audits of Quality Indicators.

Assistant Director of Nursing ADON JOB SUMMARY:
Support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, directing and evaluating services and activities of the Nursing Department. Work harmoniously with other departments and disciplines to meet facility goals while ensuring a holistic and rehabilitative approach in assisting each Resident to attain maximal independence. Accept supervisory responsibility of the Nursing Department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

• Establish and implement objectives and standards for the Nursing Department in compliance with the current requirements of regulatory agencies.

• Evaluate and monitor Resident rounds, observation of care rendered.

• Ensure sufficient and efficient staffing levels through training and the personnel process to meet the Resident needs daily on a shift-to-shift basis.

• Ascertain that accurate communications regarding significant changes in the status of Residents are expediently routed to designated physicians and family members/legal guardian.

• Establish effective rapport with facility staff, members of healthcare team, managerial, l support, Residents, family members and visitors.

• Implement standards of care, policies and procedures

• Work the floor when necessary

• Conduct monthly Consultant Compliance internal self-audits of Quality Indicators using designed audit tools.

Assistant Director of Nursing ADON JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Unencumbered, active RN licensure in the state of employment.

• 2 years in Skilled Nursing Leadership
