BrightStar Care of Appleton & Green Bay is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who will grow into a future Director of Nursing. The role starts part-time in Appleton with mentorship and opportunities to lead as Green Bay expands, balancing hands-on patient care with leadership development.

You will work alongside the current DON, gaining experience in clinical operations, case management, quality assurance, and staff development while helping to grow BrightStar Care's services in

Competenze

• Active, unrestricted Wisconsin RN license.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Appleton and Green Bay areas.

What You'll Do

Clinical Care and Case Management

• Manage a small caseload of clients in the Appleton area, with opportunities to expand into Green Bay.
• Conduct nursing assessments, reassessments, and supervisory visits.
• Develop, review, and update individualized Plans of Care.
• Coordinate care with clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
• Provide skilled nursing services as needed, including medication management, wound care, and infusion therapy.
• Monitor clinical documentation, client satisfaction, and quality of care.

Leadership and Professional Development

• Work alongside the current Director of Nursing to learn clinical and operational responsibilities.
• Assist with clinical oversight, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Support staff orientation, education, and competency evaluations.
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing and caregiving staff.
• Participate in clinical record reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
• Gradually assume greater responsibility for clinical operations as the Green Bay territory expands.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Wisconsin RN license.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree.

• Experience with wound care, medication management, or other skilled nursing services.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
