Job summary

Bradley Estates Nursing and Rehab in Milwaukee is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee nursing care, mentor staff and ensure regulatory compliance. The ADON will supervise the nursing team, coordinate resident care, and lead in-service training to uphold high standards of service.

The role includes acting as Director of Nursing in the DON's absence, maintaining a compassionate, professional environment, and ensuring safety and quality across all nursing activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of management experience.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring quality nursing care to residents/patients.
• Ensure nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care.
• Provide in-service/staff development programs contributing to nursing objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Provide clinical expertise to facilitate and support nursing processes in patient/resident interventions.
• Assist in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients/residents, staff and visitors.
• Act as Director of Nursing in the absence of the DON as designated.
• Exercise supervision over nursing personnel per the DON.
• Coordinate and support patient/resident interventions with the nursing team.

• Assist in ensuring quality nursing care to all residents/patients. Supports and practices the philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing.
• Ensures that the nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care to patients/residents.
• Ensures the provision of in-service/staff development programs that contribute to meeting nursing objectives and standards and comply with all state and federal regulations.
• Provides clinical expertise to facilitate and support the nursing process in patient/ resident interventions.
• Assists in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients/residents, employees and visitors.
• Acts as Director of Nursing in the absence of same as described in the Director of Nursing position description if designated by DON.
• Exercises administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Provides clinical expertise to facilitate and support the nursing process in patient/resident interventions.
• Assists in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, residents, employees and visitors.
