Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Alumni Network Engagement is responsible for a variety of projects and broadly supports efforts across the department. These duties include, but are not limited to, strengthening of relationships with alumni, students, volunteers, donors and friends through chapters, networks, and affinity-based events and programming, data research and reporting, alumni volunteer management, and general assistance for the operations of the team. The Assistant Director works independently and handles multiple responsibilities, requiring strong prioritization skills to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manages event planning process in collaboration with Alumni and Constituent Engagement colleagues to support overall alumni scheduled events including planning, facilitation, and execution. Works to develop the programming and overall strategy for UWG Alumni Chapter and Networks to include affinity, athletics, academic, and geographical based alumni groups. Manages chapter/network leaders in collaboration with the executive director and development colleagues. Manages alumni owned business directory and network for alumni business owners to include programming, events, and overall strategy. Manages alumni volunteers across alumni and constituent engagement and university advancement events, to include volunteer strategy and opportunities management.
• Manages overall strategy, event planning, and data management for virtual and distance alumni engagement in conjunction with the executive director. Works closely with UCM colleagues to manage alumni communication strategy across digital mediums to include emails, e-newsletters, and social media.
• Researches, prepares, and updates reports related to alumni and constituent engagement outcomes. Manages [e-mail] email account. Assists departments and campus partners in receiving alumni data with the data integrity team. Collaborates with other alumni and constituent engagement staff members to coordinate alumni board activities and data management. Works to align UWG alumni outcomes with CASE and GEAC professional organizations best practices. Helps manage alumni board materials and activities in conjunction with alumni and constituent engagement staff. Works with relevant task force leaders to execute task force initiatives in collaboration with executive director.

Proposed Salary

$57,056.00 - $63,000.00 annually. Paid on a monthly basis.
