Job summary

College of Charleston seeks an Assistant Director of Leadership Initiatives to develop and expand leadership opportunities for students. The role works with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to strengthen leadership development and create accessible opportunities to discover and grow leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in student services programs; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Experience in public speaking and with using computer desktop publishing software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develops and expands leadership opportunities for College of Charleston students as part of the Office of Student Involvement.
• Creates signature programs, workshops, cohort experiences, and other leadership initiatives.
• Cultivates the Higdon Center for Student Leadership as a campus hub for leadership development and community.
