Job summary

The State University of New York at Buffalo is seeking an Assistant Director for Identity & Access Management to lead centralized identity lifecycle, enforce access controls, and ensure regulatory compliance across campus systems. This is a campus-based role with hybrid work.

The role will supervise IAM analysts and engineers, govern identity frameworks, and collaborate with Information Security and Research IT to strengthen the university’s cybersecurity posture and continuity of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5 years IAM security experience, or a Master's with 3 years IAM experience.
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle, authentication protocols, and access governance.
• Leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date; sponsor not guaranteed.

This is a campus-based position with the possibility of hybrid work.
