Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) owns Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, a major inpatient facility with a busy pharmacy operation.

The Assistant Director of Pharmacy will manage daily pharmacy services, drive cost-effective strategies, align with patient-care goals, and lead a team of pharmacists and technicians in a comprehensive health system. The role requires a Nevada pharmacist license, a BS Pharmacy, 5+ years in leadership, and strong MS Office proficiency.

• Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations.
• MS Office proficiency including Word and Excel; some Access knowledge.

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health and oncology care. Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)

Experience

Minimum of five years (5) required. Eight to ten years preferred. Prior experience as a director of pharmacy, an assistant director of pharmacy, clinical manager or lead role is required.

Technical Skills

Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations. Software skills using MS office, proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel, some knowledge of MS Access is required. Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic.

License/Certification

Current Pharmacist license in the State of Nevada
