Job summary

Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks an Assistant Forensic Director - Psychologist in Columbus, GA. The role supervises three inpatient forensic units, oversees clinical operations, and ensures quality of forensic evaluations within a state agency.

Licensed psychologist required with substantial experience in forensic evaluations, treatment programs, and interdisciplinary teams; APA-accredited internship supervision may be involved.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with management/supervisory experience OR Master's degree with equal experience OR Bachelor's degree with required supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations of three inpatient forensic units and supervise staff.
• Complete forensic psychological evaluations (competency, risk, criminal responsibility) and review reports for quality.
• Review Behavior Support Plans and guidelines for appropriateness; consult with the Positive Behavior Support team.
