Job summary

Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, OK seeks an Assistant Director of Forensic Psychology to lead forensic mental health services statewide. This full-time, in-person role reports to the facility medical director and supervises multiple psychology staff and program leads.

The position demands a Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, board credentials preferred, and proven experience with forensic assessments and expert testimony.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (APA-accredited) is required.
• Completion of a 1-year pre-doctoral internship with direct supervision by a licensed psychologist.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-doctoral specialized training in forensic evaluation/treatment.
• At least 2 years of licensure as a psychologist.
• Demonstrated experience in forensic evaluations and expert testimony.

Responsibilities

• Direct reports to facility medical director.
• Supervise a minimum of 5 psychologist direct reports.
• Supervise therapeutic team leads (2): NGRI and Restoration.
• Oversees inpatient observation and evaluation processes.
• Oversees court-ordered in-person competency evaluations.
• Oversees timely completion of risk assessments per policy.
