Job summary

The Learning Experience - Kingwood is seeking an Assistant Director with daycare or preschool experience to lead center operations and support teachers within a dynamic early education setting.

You will collaborate with the Center Director, coach staff, and help ensure high-quality learning experiences while maintaining licensing compliance and a welcoming environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in early childhood education with leadership or supervisory duties.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Knowledge of state licensing requirements and health and safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and foster a welcoming environment.
• Partner with Center Director to oversee daily operations.
• Coach and develop staff through onboarding and mentorship.
• Support classroom teachers in implementing curriculum.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and staff engagement.
• Assist with staffing, interviews, scheduling, and training.
• Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance.
• Build relationships with children and families; support enrollment and community engagement.
• Step in as leader in Director's absence.
