Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking an Assistant Director at our Cincinnati, OH location to help oversee daily school operations and uphold high standards of education and care. You will work closely with the Director to manage staff, licensing compliance, and family relations in a nurturing environment.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of early childhood teaching experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional early education.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching in early childhood education.
• Strong knowledge of child development, best practices, team leadership and classroom management.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine love for children and commitment to high-quality education.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the School
• Staff Management: Support recruitment, training, development and supervision of staff
• Curriculum and Program Development: Assist in implementing our Wonder of Learning program designed to spark curiosity
• Family and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with families
• Health and Safety: Conduct regular safety drills, maintain emergency preparedness and licensing regulations
