Job summary

Michelle's Place Child Care Center, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to support leadership of our infant and young child education program. You will help supervise daily operations, guide a caring team, and ensure high-quality early education experiences for children.

We value a collaborative, energetic leader with a passion for early childhood development. The role includes coordinating curriculum, maintaining safety standards, and engaging with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Collaborative team player in a fast-paced setting.
• CDA or AA in ECE preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in early childhood education is desirable.
• Excellent communication and time management to handle multiple duties.
• First aid and CPR certifications preferred, renew as needed.
• Physical stamina for active work with children.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive atmosphere welcoming children and parents.
• Explain program guidelines clearly to families.
• Assist Director with overall program management and daily operations.
• Respond promptly to parent inquiries with detailed information.
• Uphold safety protocols for children in care.
• Maintain open communication with parents about child progress.
• Support Director in leading teachers and staff development.
• Introduce curriculum enhancements and innovative teaching methods.
• Cultivate relationships with community partners and schools.
• Assist with program evaluations and continuous improvement.
• Act as substitute for Director in their absence.
• Help with administrative tasks, enrollment processes, and budgeting.
